SUMMARY:YOU DON'T DESERVE TO DIE by Art Kopischke
DESCRIPTION:UW-GREEN BAY THEATRE & DANCE \n— By Art Kopischke — \nIn Koepsell House\, 5 college students who live together in a vegan co-op try to make a small difference as they plan their annual Earth Day party. In Ephraim\, Wisconsin\, Kyle returns home to care for his dying father only to become trapped in his taxidermy basement workshop by a violent April snowstorm with his childhood friend\, two hunters\, and a mysteriously omniscient singing Dead Deer. Five actors play the characters of each distinct world as\, through ultimate catastrophe\, their lives begin to reflect each other’s. \nOn WPW Backstage by Mike Fischer\nSlouching Toward Bethlehem \nFiddling While Rome Burns? – Art Kopischke’s Play Explores How Progressives Process Climate Change

SUMMARY:THE KENOSHA VERBATIM PROJECT by Nora Carroll\, Rayven Craft\, Katherine Layendecker\, Martin McClendon
DESCRIPTION:CARTHAGE COLLEGE THEATRE \n— by Nora Carroll\, Rayven Craft\, Katherine Layendecker\, Martin McClendon —  \nIn the summer of 2020\, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back by a Kenosha police officer\, touching off a chain of events that led to protests and major incidents in downtown Kenosha\, including the killing of two protesters by teenager Kyle Rittenhouse. What has happened since then? How has Kenosha changed or not changed? How do people view their city since these incidents? How do we move ahead? \nCarthage Theatre faculty and students are creating a piece of reality-based verbatim theatre that will examine how the people of our community have navigated the aftermath. Collecting material through interviews with community members as well as through researching trial transcripts\, news articles\, and other documents\, the team will create a script using the actual words of the people who experienced it. \nOn WPW Backstage by Mike Fischer\nThe Way We Live Now: Finding Community and Speaking Truth in a Divided America

DESCRIPTION:Prism Youth Theatre \n— Created by Prism Youth Theater Company —  \nInquisitive youth at play examine facts\, opinions\, and imagined truths in pursuit to define their world. \nThis is a devised piece centered around the concepts of transparency and process as they relate to the theater. Reserving your spot is recommended\, though walk-ups are welcome! \nThe show will take place in the Menomonee River Parkway Navigation there is a bit strange\, so it’s best to say\, navigate to Hartung Park (W Keefe Ave\, Wauwatosa\, WI 53222) for street parking\, then walk 2 min south along the Menomonee River Parkway to find the spot. Refer to the illustrated map below and view the audience guide. \nSHOW DATES & TIMES:\nThursday\, June 15th @ 7:00 pm\nFriday\, June 16th @ 7:00 pm\nSaturday\, June 17th @ 2:00 pm\nSaturday\, June 17th @ 7:00 pm\nSunday\, June 18th @ 2:00 pm

SUMMARY:HERE COME THE JESTERS by Rick Bingen
DESCRIPTION:Bard & Bourbon \n— by Rick Bingen —  \n\n\n\nA small Canadian town is host to a summer theatre festival. All of the characters from Shakespearean canon live in the town year-round hoping that the next season they will get to perform their story. The characters live in harmony with the out-of-towners (characters from non-Shakespeare plays who move to town when their show is performed during the season.) Touchstone\, Benedick\, and Em hang out at the local poutine restaurant as they always do until a murder upends their normal.\n\n\n\n\nOn WPW Backstage by Mike Fischer \nWhat if the Bard’s Characters Really Were Real? SUMMARY:OUT OF THE BLUE -- Book and lyrics by Erin Hunsader\, Music by Haesun Suh
DESCRIPTION:Book and lyrics by Erin Hunsader\, Music by Haesun Suh \nOUT OF THE BLUE opens with sarcastic\, 16-year-old Jenny awaiting the results of her pregnancy test. When the results come back positive\, Jenny’s normal\, Midwestern life is turned upside down. \nHer rocky relationship with her adopted Mother\, Iris quickly becomes rockier once her secret is discovered. And\, while Jenny struggles making a decision regarding the pregnancy\, she also starts to wonder about her birth mother who she never knew- she was adopted when she was six from an orphanage in South Korea. \nFinally\, she declares she is going on a quest to South Korea to find her ‘real mom.’ Iris insists on going with her and the two feuding family members encounter more than they expected through funny scenes set in an unfamiliar landscape. Still\, the quest reveals answers to Jenny’s past while helping her decide what to do about her future. \nOUT OF THE BLUE takes place in the 1990’s before a woman’s right to choose was taken away. \nOn WPW Backstage by Mike Fischer \nFrom South Korea to Green Bay: Musical Out of the Blue Sings Universal Story to Bridge the Divide \nBlame Mom
